Nestled conveniently within Liverpool John Lennon Airport, Monty's Diner offers travelers a genuine American diner experience perfectly suited for both quick bites and leisurely meals before takeoff. This charming establishment blends classic diner charm with a contemporary airport vibe, making it a go-to spot for those passing through Speke, Liverpool.
Monty's menu entices with a comforting combination of hearty and fresh dishes that cater to a range of cravings. Start your day or sustain your travel energy with their Big Breakfast Bagel (£14.50), which packs a satisfying punch of flavor in every bite. For something lighter yet equally fulfilling, the Avocado Bagel (£11.50) and Spinach & Cheese Omelette Bagel (£11.95) offer creamy textures and wholesome ingredients, balanced perfectly on a soft, freshly baked bagel. Seafood lovers will appreciate the Smoked Salmon Bagel (£13.95), where the smoky richness of the salmon melds beautifully with the bread and accompaniments.
Complementing these dishes is a thoughtfully curated drink selection that includes crisp white wines like the House White (£7.89) and elegant Pinot Grigio (£9.79), ideal for unwinding before a flight. Beer and cider aficionados can enjoy popular choices such as Peroni (£6.25), Sol (£6.25), and the tangy Bulmers Original (£7.10), each served chilled to refresh and satisfy.
The atmosphere at Monty's is both relaxed and inviting, offering a comforting retreat from the typical airport hustle. Patrons have noticed the swift, efficient service particularly appreciated when flights run late—making Monty's a reliable haven to recharge. As Chloe Turner shared, the staff's warm welcome, especially from servers like Georgia, adds a personalized touch much needed in travel hubs. While some visitors find pricing reflective of airport norms, the value is undeniable given the quality and portion sizes, like Bethan W’s delight in their generous mac and cheese side that could easily stand as a meal itself.
Space isn’t cramped here—groups can settle comfortably, and cleanliness is clearly a priority, enhancing the overall inviting feel. The ordering system is modern and efficient, utilizing QR codes at tables to streamline the experience, though some guests feel the service could be warmer, a likely result of the airport setting’s pace and pressure.
Whether you’re grabbing a quick coffee, indulging in the iconic chicken waffles praised by Jessica Williams, or sipping on a chilled Peroni as you watch the world pass by, Monty's Diner stands out as a dependable and genuinely enjoyable eatery within Liverpool Airport. It’s a place where the food feels thoughtfully prepared and the atmosphere is relaxed enough to provide a comfortable pause in your journey.

We had a lovely time at Monty’s. Our flight was delayed by a few hours so came to Monty’s for some food. Georgia served us and was very welcoming and helpful. Definitely a good spot to try when passing through Liverpool Airport.

Honestly the pricing is ridiculous but not necessarily worse than other airside options. Cool spot, service was good. In the absence of a wetherspoons this is a competitive spot for a breakfast.

Lovely American diner at Liverpool Airport, really quick service and not bad prices for an airport as the food was really good. Not very busy so easy to get a table for 6 people and looked very clean inside. We had burgers, mac and cheese and fries all really nice. The side of mac and cheese was massive! Easily could have been a meal on its own!

It’s easy to order as there are QR codes on the tables. The food arrived quick, which was good as I was waiting on a flight. The service isn’t friendly, but I guess that is expected at airports.

Atmosphere is chill and comfortable can spend time there while waiting. Food is so so our chicken was dry. But the salad was great. Good in total.

We stopped by here on a Friday in August 2025 on our way to Krakow, so glad we decided to take a seat as soon as it was open, As it soon started to get busy! I had the chicken waffles, which were delicious! The girls were so lovely, very attentive, and couldn’t have done enough! Service was perfect! Thank you so much, Ella, Nat and the team, they are a real credit to the restaurant! I will definitely be back - when I book another holiday of course.. xxx
